Question
How can I format a DVD-R?
Rudy Toth
Customs Answer
You don't need to format a DVD-R, for that is automatically done for you every time you tape a non-copyright picture (home movies/privately filmed footage).

Question
I copied a VHS record to a DVD-R. How can I add some other VHS record to same DVD?
Rudy Toth
Community Reply
You probably need a compressor unit device to compress 2 films on one disc. Once a DVD R is finalized, there is no way to add together another motion-picture show to the open unrecorded space.

I accidentally burned a DVD-R and now it became a two KB DVD-ROM. How do I reverse this?
Rudy Toth

You can't reverse what is already charged to the disc. If you burned a DVD RW, then you tin can rewrite over the mistake and after erase it, so record over that again. But since you lot say it is a DVD R, and so you will have to apply a brand new one.

Windows 7 has the facility to use a CD/DVD as a flash drive - i.east. you tin can copy, delete and do anything to your Disc. Insert an empty disc and copy some stuff to it. Then on the summit bar below the menu bar click on the Tab " Burn these items to disc"

DVD-R's and CD-R's aren't really meant to be reused. These disks have a hardware limitation where one time a sure area of the disk is used, no more changes can exist made to that area, so y'all will gradually lose deejay space until the disk is unusable. If you desire the power to keep using a DVD or CD like a flash-drive, go for the RW variants (DVD-RW or CD-RW).
-
Some burning software does not accept a multi-session burning facility, so before writing to a DVD, make certain that you enable multi-sessions if you lot want to write more than files onto the DVD in the future
